We will start with your main assignment of this lesson: Write & design a pricing sheet.

You know what's more satisfying than putting together a tight proposal for a project? Putting together a pricing sheet that will allow you to create quick and easy proposals.

Having a working pricing sheet also allows you to keep track of your project pricing information as it changes over time (handy for those moments where you adjust it!).

We created an "a la carte" pricing sheet that we share with our clients when we send proposals out. This shows them the exact cost of everything. Then, if they come back at us saying "can we lower the price of the proposal" you can go back to them and say "of course, then we will have a certain part to no longer be included." Like that you set a pricing boundary, coming to the middle of both sides is still important.

It gives you an idea of how much a package should cost overall, and then you can then work backwards to figure out the unit cost of each deliverable. Remember to consider and include things like:

  • How long it takes to complete each project into a deliverable state.
  • You level of expertise.
  • The lifetime value of the deliverable.
  • 10-12% of your business operating expenses, if applicable.

Create your pricing sheet in a google doc, brand it, and then save it as a PDF.
