We recommend using Gmail. Even if you have a business email hosted elsewhere, it's a good idea to forward/operate out of your inbox because it syncs to everything, it's linked to the whole set of google ecosystem such as google calendar and etc. Here's what you need to do:
- Get your email set up using Gmail. If you already have one, clear it out to reach Inbox Zero (no emails! This means archiving everything that is old and requires no action. When you operate from Inbox Zero, and maintain it over time, it means that everything sitting in your inbox requires an action of some sort (an email response, a task etc). When it's taken care of, it's archived.
- Create these four new tags to label things clear:
- Action Needed
- Action Not Needed
- Leads & Prospects
- Clients
- Use the tags to keep track of what's coming into your inbox!
You'll want to check your Leads and Prospects every couple of days and KEEP following up until you hear a firm no.
